Yesterday Maldives has recorded 98 positive cases along with 114 people recovered from covid-19. Positive cases include 72 Maldivians and 26 Foreigners. Total of positive cases records 27 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 11 people infected outside the greater Male’ area.
With the new update, as per (HPA) Health Protection Agency of the Maldives; the total infected cases to Covid-19 has reached up to 8584. This includes 2613 active cases to Covid-19 in Maldives.
HPA also reported that Maldives has reached a recovery of 5936 people up-to-date.
Currently there are active Covid-19 cases in 22 resorts and 35 residential islands outside of the greater Male’ area. So far 19 Tourists and 47 staff have been positive to covid-19 in the resorts.
With an increase of fear in spreading Covid-19 to residential islands outside of the greater Male’ area, Maldives has also recorded 29 deaths from Covid-19 up-to-date.
