WAMCO has advised residents to call its hotline 1666 if garbage collection has been delayed due to ongoing bad weather.
The company urged the public not to dump waste on streets or in public areas, especially during the rainy season. If any household's garbage remains uncollected or if service issues arise, WAMCO encouraged reporting them via the hotline.
WAMCO has also announced revised garbage collection hours for Ramadan:
- Malé: 8:30 PM – 2:30 AM
- Hulhumalé: 9:00 PM – 1:00 AM
- Villimalé: 9:30 PM – 1:30 AM
Additionally, WAMCO advised residents to properly seal and separate sharp objects like glass before disposal to prevent harm to waste management workers.
