Singapore Airlines has resumed daily flights between Maldives and Singapore today.

Singapore Airlines halted its daily flights between Singapore and Maldives due to Covid-19. The first flight to resume its daily flights landed at Velana International Airport today afternoon.

As per the information received, Singapore Airlines will have scheduled flights for thrice weekly from Singapore Changi Airport.



The Maldives reopened its borders on July 15, 2020, after closing the borders for three long months due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Since the border reopening, the Maldives has seen an increase in tourist arrivals from day-to-day. The Maldives aims to be a safe haven to the tourists amidst the pandemic with precautionary measures taken in every tourist establishment and an initiative in progress to vaccinate tourism industry workers.
