June 06, the Health Protection Agency (HPA) has reported 412 additional cases of Covid-19.

The total positive cases recorded include 239 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 173 people infected outside the greater Male’ area. Out of this, 11 people are positive from operational resorts, and 162 people are positive from inhabited islands.

With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 67,950 cases, including 19,670 active cases to Covid-19.

So far, HPA has taken 5,082 test samples within the last 24 hours.

HPA also reported that 753 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 48,086.

According to HPA, there are 185 patients admitted to hospitals, and the Maldives has recorded 185 deaths from Covid-19 complications.

In addition to this, a total of 311,740 people across the Maldives have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine from the nationwide inoculation drive. Out of which, 172,263 people have received the second dose of the Covid-19 vaccine.
