The Health Emergency Operation Centre (HEOC) reports that 38 Chinese workers at the new airport terminal and airport runway development project tested positive for Covid-19.
At the recent press conference by the HEOC, spokesperson Dr. Nazla said that the recent increase in positive cases was reported from the Chinese workers at the Chinese communication company and the staff at the new airport terminal and airport runway development project.
Dr. Nazla said that as per the recent records, 20 people are positive from China Harbour Engineering Company, and 16 people were reported, from the Chinese communication company. Therefore the reports show 90 Chinese workers positive to Covid-19.
On Monday, the Health Protection Agency (HPA) of the Maldives reported 110 positive cases, which includes 31 Maldivians and 79 Foreigners. So far, Maldives has recorded 45 deaths due to complications of Covid-19.
