President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has expressed interest in leveraging Estonia’s successful digital health innovations to enhance the Maldives' healthcare system. His remarks came during a meeting with Estonia’s Minister of Health, Riina Sikkut, as part of his ongoing official visit to Estonia.

During the meeting, the Estonian minister provided an overview of the country’s advancements in digitalizing healthcare services, highlighting how technology has improved service quality, accessibility, and efficiency. She also outlined the challenges Estonia has faced in the sector and the solutions implemented to address them.

President Muizzu noted the potential of Estonia’s digital health strategies in strengthening the Maldives' healthcare system.
