The local man who passed away this Sunday evening is the 52nd death reported from Covid-19 complications in the Maldives.
The 88-year-old man was admitted to Hulhumale’ Medical Facility for further treatment to Covid-19, while he passed away at 07:33 pm on this Sunday. The Health Protection Agency (HPA) confirms that this would be the 52nd Covid-19 death from the Maldives.
The Maldives reported the first death to Covid-19 on April 29 last year. As per the statistics, 45 locals and 07 foreigners have passed away from Covid-19 complications in the Maldives.
So far, over 15,000 cases have been reported positive to Covid-19 in the Maldives, out of which, over 14,000 infected people have been recovered.
