January 31st, the Health Protection Agency (HPA) of the Maldives has reported 105 additional cases of Covid-19 within 24 hours.

The total positive cases recorded includes 88 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 17 people infected outside the greater Male’ area. Out of this, 14 people are positive from operational resorts.

With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 15,841 cases, including 1,644 active cases to Covid-19 recorded within the last 24 hours.

So far, HPA has taken 410,006 test samples for Covid-19, while HPA has taken 2,600 test samples within the last 24 hours.

HPA also reported that 43 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 14,139.

According to HPA, there are 163 patients admitted to hospitals, and the Maldives has recorded 52 deaths from Covid-19 complications.
