A special ceremony was held today at Velana International Airport to welcome 200 tourists arriving from China on Maldivian Airlines' widebody aircraft. The flight, operated by Maldivian Airlines, marks a significant milestone in the country’s tourism efforts and further strengthens ties with China.
The tourists were greeted with a warm reception and, as part of their welcome, were offered free return tickets and exclusive holiday packages.
Maldivian Airlines, which launched direct flights from Maldives to Beijing on January 24, will now operate a weekly flight between the Maldives and China.
