The Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has signed an agreement with the Ministry of National Planning, Housing, and Infrastructure to develop M. Muli airport.
As per the contract, the project is to be completed within 365 days. Muli airport development project is MVR 221.733 million worth in value. In addition to Muli airport development, MTCC has three airport development projects ongoing.
Speaking during the contract signing ceremony held today, Minister Mohamed Aslam, stated that the government policy is to develop an airport within a 30-minute distance of all inhabited islands in the nation.
Apart from M. Muli, airport development was announced on the islands of B. Thulhaadhoo, Sh. Bilehfahi, Th. Vilufushi and HDh. Makunudhoo.
