The Maldives prepares welcome 15 new resorts in 2021.
Although some of these resorts were initially planned to open in 2020, it was delayed due to lower development progress of many properties following the Covid-19 pandemic.
The new resorts include several international brands; The Ritz-Carlton, Le Méridien, GHM Hotels, La Vie Hotels, Meliá hotels and Avani Hotels & Resorts, to make its debut in the Maldives.
The most-anticipated resort openings for 2021 is the Fari Islands. It is a three ultra-luxury properties at the second integrated destination of the Maldives. The destination is set to be a first-of-its-kind in the Maldives.
The 15 upcoming new resorts for 2021 include:
1. The Ritz-Carlton Maldives, Fari Islands
It is planned to open in the second quarter of 2021 with 100 villas in North Malé Atoll.
2. Le Méridien Maldives Resort & Spa
Planned to open in the third quarter of 2021 with 150 villas in Lhaviyani Atoll.
3.Patina Maldives, Fari Islands
Planned to open in the second quarter of 2021 with 110 villas in North Malé Atoll.
4.The Chedi Kudavillingili
Planned to open in the second quarter of 2021 with 99 villas in North Malé Atoll.
5.Siyam World
Planned to open in 2021, in Noonu Atoll.
6.Address Madivaru Maldives Resort + Spa
Planned to open in 2021 with 80 villas in North Ari Atoll.
7.Avani Fares, Maldives
Planned to open in 2021 with 200 villas in Baa Atoll.
