President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu met His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Amir of the State of Qatar, at the Sheraton Doha Hotel today, where he conveyed condolences over the fatalities caused by the recent Israeli attack on Qatar.
President Muizzu strongly condemned the violation of Qatar’s sovereignty and reaffirmed the Maldives’ solidarity with the Qatari government and people. He commended Qatar’s leadership in convening the Emergency Arab-Islamic Summit and recognized its efforts in mediation and humanitarian support for Palestine.
The discussions also focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation in multiple areas of mutual interest. President Muizzu expressed gratitude for Qatar’s continued support to the Maldives.
Both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to deepening Maldives–Qatar relations, while emphasizing unity within the Muslim Ummah and reiterating support for a just two-state solution for Palestine.
