MTCC has today commenced the physical works of the S. Hithadhoo Island harbor upgrade project at a special function held at S. Hithadhoo.
The MVR 52.43 million project was awarded to MTCC by the Ministry of Planning, Housing, and Infrastructure, on April 01. The project is scheduled to be completed within 365 days.
Scope of works for the project includes dredging and excavation operations of 234,297 cbm, a 800m breakwater, a 284m quay wall, installation of 1,420sqm harbor pavement, harbor lights, and navigational aids.
