MTCC has signed with Maldives Ports Limited today, to redevelop Addu Regional Port.
During a special ceremony held today, the contract was signed by CEO Adam Azim signed on behalf of MTCC, and on behalf of Maldives Ports Limited, CEO Mr. Shahid Ali signed the contract. The ceremony was also attended by the Parliament Member for Hithadhoo constituency, Mohamed Aslam, Parliament Member for Hulhudhoo constituency, Ilyas Labeeb, and Addu City Mayor, Abdulla Sodiq.
The value of the signed project is MVR 211.771 million, and the project is to be completed within 525 days.
Scope of works for the project includes; dredging operations of 972,500cbm, reclamation operations of 8.05 hectares, a 2360m breakwater construction, a 500m revetment, installation of 25,900sqm harbor pavement and harbor lights.
