The Health Protection Agency (HPA) has announced to initiate the vaccination of the second dose of the Covishield vaccine from April 03 onwards.
HPA has stated the vaccination of the second dose will be held for people who have received the first dose of the Covishield vaccine from February 1st to 4th, in the greater Male’ area.
The vaccination will be held at the Social Centre, National Art Gallery, Hulhumale’ Flu Clinic, and at Villimale’ Youth Centre. HPA has advised to bring in the Covid-19 vaccination card along with an identification document such as the National ID card, Passport, or License card.
Maldives initiated the nationwide Covid-19 vaccination on February 01, with India manufactured Covishield vaccine. Currently, over 235,000 people have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine. In addition to Covishield, the Chinese manufactured Sinopharm vaccine and Pfizer vaccine is currently approved for emergency use in the Maldives.
