April 9, the Health Protection Agency (HPA) of the Maldives has reported 132 additional cases of Covid-19 within 24 hours.
The total positive cases recorded include 56 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 76 people infected outside the greater Male’ area. Out of this, 22 people are positive from operational resorts, and 54 people are positive from inhabited islands.
With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 25,436 cases, including 3,084 active cases to Covid-19.
So far, HPA has taken 3,074 test samples within the last 24 hours.
HPA also reported that 110 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 22,276.
According to HPA, there are 82 patients admitted to hospitals, and the Maldives has recorded 67 deaths from Covid-19 complications.
