The local male who passed away Monday evening, declared as the 71st death reported from Covid-19 complications in the Maldives.
The Health Protection Agency (HPA) has stated that the 80 year old male admitted at Hulhumale Covid Facility, passed away at 11:25 pm last night. As per the information received, the patient was brought in to Male' from K. Dhiffushi island for further medical treatment.
This would also be the fourth death related to Covid-19 reported within four consecutive days.
With the death toll risen up to 71, the statistics also show 26,505 confirmed Covid-19 positive cases recorded across the Maldives.
