Former President of the Maldives, Maumoon Abdul Gayyoom has called to strengthen the fight against Covid-19.
In his tweet, addressing on the alarming rise in Covid-19 cases across the Maldives, President Maumoon called upon the authorities to strengthen the measures taken to control the pandemic.
Maldives has seen a surge in Covid-19 positive cases reported daily following the ease on Covid-19 restrictions. As per the statistics, Maldives has reported more than 150 daily cases for 7 consecutive days, while on Friday, it topped with 319 Covid-19 positive cases.
