April 28, the Health Protection Agency (HPA) has reported 464 additional cases of Covid-19 within 24 hours.

The total positive cases recorded include 207 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 257 people infected outside the greater Male’ area. Out of this, 14 people are positive from operational resorts, 146 people are positive from inhabited islands, and 93 people positive from Industrial Islands.

With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 29,052 cases, including 4,396 active cases to Covid-19.

So far, HPA has taken 3,948 test samples within the last 24 hours.

HPA also reported that 76 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 24,575.

According to HPA, there are 122 patients admitted to hospitals, and the Maldives has recorded 72 deaths from Covid-19 complications.

In addition to this, a total of 294,269 people across the Maldives have received the first dose of Covid-19 vaccine from the nationwide inoculation drive. Out of which, 92,612 people have received the second dose of the Covid-19 vaccine.
