May 29, the Health Protection Agency (HPA) has reported 1062 additional cases of Covid-19.

The total positive cases recorded include 699 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 363 people infected outside the greater Male’ area. Out of this, 09 people are positive from non-operational resorts, and 353 people are positive from inhabited islands.

With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 62,906 cases, including 24,507 active cases to Covid-19.

So far, HPA has taken 4,832 test samples within the last 24 hours.

HPA also reported that 1,371 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 38,233.

According to HPA, there are 240 patients admitted to hospitals, and the Maldives has recorded 157 deaths from Covid-19 complications.
