The Health Protection Agency (HPA) has reported H.dh atoll, Kulhudhuffushi City and Nolhivaram Island under monitoring.
Further elaborating HPA said that both the islands are under monitoring due to a person testing positive from a boat which travels between Male’ and Kulhudhuhfushi. HPA also said that Nolhivaram island is under monitoring due to a connection with this case.
Sources have stated that the captain of the ‘faalhu’ boat is positive to covid-19.
As per the statement released from HPA, the 2 islands are under monitoring from 25th September, 20:45 till contact tracing is completed. During this period, HPA has restricted movement of people to and from the islands until further notice.
Although Kulhudhuffushi City is under monitoring, the recent cargo ferry started between India and Maldives is planned to reach its first cargo ferry to Kulhudhuffushi city by early morning.
