May 31, the Health Protection Agency (HPA) has reported 710 additional cases of Covid-19.

The total positive cases recorded include 488 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 222 people infected outside the greater Male’ area. Out of this, 05 people are positive from operational resorts, and 202 people are positive from inhabited islands.

With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 64,396 cases, including 24,109 active cases to Covid-19.

So far, HPA has taken 5,310 test samples within the last 24 hours.

HPA also reported that 803 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 40,117.

According to HPA, there are 204 patients admitted to hospitals, and the Maldives has recorded 161 deaths from Covid-19 complications.

In addition to this, a total of 309,815 people across the Maldives have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine from the nationwide inoculation drive. Out of which, 166,490 people have received the second dose of the Covid-19 vaccine.
