June 03, the Health Protection Agency (HPA) has reported 648 additional cases of Covid-19.

The total positive cases recorded include 349 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 299 people infected outside the greater Male’ area. Out of this, 13 people are positive from operational resorts, and 270 people are positive from inhabited islands.

With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 66,516 cases, including 22,375 active cases to Covid-19.

So far, HPA has taken 3,832 test samples within the last 24 hours.

HPA also reported that 2,180 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 43,959.

According to HPA, there are 213 patients admitted to hospitals, and the Maldives has recorded 173 deaths from Covid-19 complications.

In addition to this, a total of 310,834 people across the Maldives have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine from the nationwide inoculation drive. Out of which, 170,105 people have received the second dose of the Covid-19 vaccine.
