June 04, the Health Protection Agency (HPA) has reported 432 additional cases of Covid-19.

The total positive cases recorded include 249 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 183 people infected outside the greater Male’ area. Out of this, 29 people are positive from operational resorts, and 154 people are positive from inhabited islands.

With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 66,948 cases, including 21,032 active cases to Covid-19.

So far, HPA has taken 4,056 test samples within the last 24 hours.

HPA also reported that 1,771 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 45,730.

According to HPA, there are 213 patients admitted to hospitals, and the Maldives has recorded 177 deaths from Covid-19 complications.

In addition to this, a total of 311,225 people across the Maldives have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine from the nationwide inoculation drive. Out of which, 171,115 people have received the second dose of the Covid-19 vaccine.
