June 08, the Health Protection Agency (HPA) has reported 370 additional cases of Covid-19.

The total positive cases recorded include 217 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 152 people infected outside the greater Male’ area. Out of this, 04 people are positive from operational resorts, and 148 people are positive from inhabited islands.

With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 68,872 cases, including 17,461 active cases to Covid-19.

So far, HPA has taken 4,263 test samples within the last 24 hours.

HPA also reported that 1,369 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 51,213.

According to HPA, there are 152 patients admitted to hospitals, and the Maldives has recorded 189 deaths from Covid-19 complications.

In addition to this, a total of 312,574 people across the Maldives have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine from the nationwide inoculation drive. Out of which, 174,259 people have received the second dose of the Covid-19 vaccine.
