June 11, the Health Protection Agency (HPA) has reported 295 additional cases of Covid-19.

The total positive cases recorded include 138 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 157 people infected outside the greater Male’ area. Out of this, 11 people are positive from operational resorts, and 146 people are positive from inhabited islands.

With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 69,831 cases, including 13,071 active cases to Covid-19.

So far, HPA has taken 4,736 test samples within the last 24 hours.

HPA also reported that 1,504 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 56,559.

According to HPA, there are 111 patients admitted to hospitals, and the Maldives has recorded 192 deaths from Covid-19 complications.

In addition to this, a total of 313,609 people across the Maldives have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine from the nationwide inoculation drive. Out of which, 176,798 people have received the second dose of the Covid-19 vaccine.
