June 12, the Health Protection Agency (HPA) has reported 246 additional cases of Covid-19.

The total positive cases recorded include 88 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 158 people infected outside the greater Male’ area. Out of this, 13 people are positive from operational resorts, and 137 people are positive from inhabited islands.

With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 70,077 cases, including 11,041 active cases to Covid-19.

So far, HPA has taken 4,788 test samples within the last 24 hours.

HPA also reported that 2,273 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 58,832.

According to HPA, there are 97 patients admitted to hospitals, and the Maldives has recorded 195 deaths from Covid-19 complications.
