July 02, the Health Protection Agency (HPA) has reported 143 additional cases of Covid-19.

The total positive cases recorded include 26 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 117 people infected outside the greater Male’ area. Out of this, 08 people are positive from operational resorts, and 104 people are positive from inhabited islands.

With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 74,074 cases, including 3,359 active cases to Covid-19.

So far, HPA has taken 4,355 test samples within the last 24 hours.

HPA also reported that 165 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 70,490.

According to HPA, there are 23 admitted to hospitals, and the Maldives has recorded 213 deaths from Covid-19 complications.

In addition to this, a total of 317,214 people across the Maldives have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine from the nationwide inoculation drive. Out of which, 191,441 people have received the second dose of the Covid-19 vaccine.
