President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has declared Wednesday, 28 July 2021, and Thursday, 29 July 2021, as government holidays.
The decision was made as it follows two government holidays: Eid al-Adha and the Independence Day holidays. The directive issued by the President’s Office on Tuesday stated that the two days are being declared as government holidays to ease travel plans for government employees and to allow continuity of the holiday.
The government would re-open again on Sunday, 01 August 2021.
