July 31, the Health Protection Agency (HPA) has reported 123 additional cases of Covid-19.
The total positive cases recorded include 21 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 102 people infected outside the greater Male’ area. Out of this, 20 people are positive from operational resorts, and 82 people are positive from inhabited islands.
With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 77,432 cases, including 2,601 active cases to Covid-19.
So far, HPA has taken 5,024 test samples within the last 24 hours.
HPA also reported that 94 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 74,598.
According to HPA, there are 16 admitted to hospitals, and the Maldives has recorded 221 deaths from Covid-19 complications.
In addition to this, a total of 321,764 people across the Maldives have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine from the nationwide inoculation drive. Out of which, 264,913 people have received the second dose of the Covid-19 vaccine.
