August 04, the Health Protection Agency (HPA) has reported 137 additional cases of Covid-19.

The total positive cases recorded include 23 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 114 people infected outside the greater Male’ area. Out of this, 14 people are positive from operational resorts, and 100 people are positive from inhabited islands.

With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 77,895 cases, including 2,566 active cases to Covid-19.

So far, HPA has taken 4,996 test samples within the last 24 hours.

HPA also reported that 30 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 75,095.

According to HPA, there are 16 admitted to hospitals, and the Maldives has recorded 222 deaths from Covid-19 complications.

In addition to this, a total of 326,339 people across the Maldives have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine from the nationwide inoculation drive. Out of which, 278,469 people have received the second dose of the Covid-19 vaccine.
