August 06, the Health Protection Agency (HPA) has reported 131 additional cases of Covid-19.
The total positive cases recorded include 21 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 110 people infected outside the greater Male’ area. Out of this, 18 people are positive from operational resorts, and 92 people are positive from inhabited islands.
With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 78,130 cases, including 2,543 active cases to Covid-19.
So far, HPA has taken 5,198 test samples within the last 24 hours.
HPA also reported that 100 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 75,353.
According to HPA, there are 24 admitted to hospitals, and the Maldives has recorded 222 deaths from Covid-19 complications.
