August 07, the Health Protection Agency (HPA) has reported 113 additional cases of Covid-19.
The total positive cases recorded include 25 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 88 people infected outside the greater Male’ area. Out of this, 13 people are positive from operational resorts, and 73 people are positive from inhabited islands.
With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 78,243 cases, including 2,559 active cases to Covid-19.
So far, HPA has taken 5,992 test samples within the last 24 hours.
HPA also reported that 97 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 75,450.
According to HPA, there are 24 admitted to hospitals, and the Maldives has recorded 222 deaths from Covid-19 complications.
In addition to this, a total of 329,403 people across the Maldives have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine from the nationwide inoculation drive. Out of which, 282,653 people have received the second dose of the Covid-19 vaccine.
