August 16, the Health Protection Agency (HPA) has reported 152 additional cases of Covid-19.
The recorded positive cases include 29 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 123 people outside the greater Male’ area. Out of this, 40 people are positive from operational resorts, and 83 people are positive from inhabited islands.
With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 79,289 cases, including 1,682 active cases to Covid-19.
So far, HPA has taken 5,660 test samples within the last 24 hours.
HPA also reported that 96 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 77,373.
According to HPA, there are 17 admitted to hospitals, and the Maldives has recorded 222 deaths from Covid-19 complications.
