August 30, the Health Protection Agency (HPA) has reported 169 additional cases of Covid-19.


The recorded positive cases include 49 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 120 people outside the greater Male’ area. Out of this, 01 people are positive from operational resorts, and 119 people are positive from inhabited islands.


With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 80,960 cases, including 1,709 active cases to Covid-19.


So far, HPA has taken 5,742 test samples within the last 24 hours.


HPA also reported that 118 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 79,012.


According to HPA, there are 17 admitted to hospitals, and the Maldives has recorded 226 deaths from Covid-19 complications.


In addition to this, a total of 383,089 people across the Maldives have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine from the nationwide inoculation drive. Out of which, 301,857 people have received the second dose of the Covid-19 vaccine.
