September 08, the Health Protection Agency (HPA) has reported 100 additional cases of Covid-19.
The recorded positive cases include 40 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 60 people outside the greater Male’ area. Out of this, 09 people are positive from operational resorts, and 50 people are positive from inhabited islands.
With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 82,364 cases, including 2,120 active cases to Covid-19.
So far, HPA has taken 5,318 test samples within the last 24 hours.
HPA also reported that 97 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 80,004.
According to HPA, there are 17 admitted to hospitals, and the Maldives has recorded 227 deaths from Covid-19 complications.
