The National Boating Association of the Maldives has announced that the Tourism Ministry has granted permits for tourist service for 109 liveaboards which were following the guidelines by the Health Protection Agency (HPA).

While Maldives has reopened its borders to welcome tourists on 15th July, the Tourism Ministry has offered to reopen the resorts and liveaboards for tourist service if HPA’s guidelines were being followed.

To request for permits, liveaboards have to submit the declaration form, operating license, MIRA tax clearance form and the safety guideline plan followed in the vessels. Permits be considered referring to the documents submitted to the Ministry of Tourism.

The National Boating Association of the Maldives has advised not to operate any liveaboards without the permit from the tourism Ministry and once it is started to operate, boat crew and tourists are not allowed in local islands.
