October 11, the Health Protection Agency (HPA) has reported 74 additional cases of Covid-19.

The recorded positive cases include 21 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 53 people outside the greater Male’ area. Out of this, 04 people are positive from operational resorts, and 49 people are positive from inhabited islands.

With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 85,622 cases, including 1,205 active cases to Covid-19.

So far, HPA has taken 3,312 test samples within the last 24 hours.

HPA also reported that 106 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 84,170.

According to HPA, there are 12 admitted to hospitals, and the Maldives has recorded 234 deaths from Covid-19 complications.

In addition to this, a total of 393,133 people across the Maldives have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine from the nationwide inoculation drive. Out of which, 346,781 people have received the second dose of the Covid-19 vaccine.
