After US President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump tested positive for Covid-19, President of the Maldives, Ibrahim Mohamed Solih sends well wishes. In his tweet, President Ibrahim Solih and First Lady Ms Fazna wished them both a speedy recovery from COVID-19.
President Donald Trump announced early Friday that he and his wife both tested positive for the coronavirus, after one of his closest aides, Hope Hicks, tested positive for the infection.
Trump has also claimed that the covid-19 is waning, and undercut his push for states to reopen schools and businesses. Trump has complained during recent rallies about Democratic governors who have maintained strict lockdowns to prevent the spread of the virus.
So far the US has the most cases of Covid-19 around the globe, reaching over 7 million positive cases and the number of deaths from covid-19 goes over 208,000 in the US.
