October 4th; Health Protection Agency (HPA) of the Maldives reports 65 positive cases from 1,583 samples taken within 24 hours. This includes 51 Maldivians and 14 Foreigners.
Total of positive cases records 54 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 11 people infected outside the greater Male’ area.
With additional cases of the COVID-19, confirmed COVID-19 cases in Maldives have increased up to 10,530. This includes 1,125 active cases to COVID-19 in Maldives.
HPA also reported recovery of 54 infected people in the last 24 hours, which adds up to a total of 9,364 people recovered.
There are active COVID-19 cases in 20 resorts and in 21 residential islands outside of the greater Male’ area. The active cases in resorts include 10 Tourists and 16 staff.
Maldives has recorded 34 deaths due to complications of Covid-19.
