December 31: The Health Protection Agency (HPA) has reported 160 additional cases of Covid-19.
The recorded positive cases include 38 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 122 people outside the greater Male’ area. Out of this, 51 people are positive from operational resorts, and 71 people are positive from inhabited islands.
With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 95,700 cases, including 2,298 active cases to Covid-19.
So far, HPA has taken 3,879 test samples within the last 24 hours.
HPA also reported that 102 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 93,127.
According to HPA, there are 18 admitted to hospitals, and the Maldives has recorded 262 deaths from Covid-19 complications.
