January 04: The Health Protection Agency (HPA) has reported 282 additional cases of Covid-19.
The recorded positive cases include 66 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 162 people outside the greater Male’ area. Out of this, 97 people are positive from operational resorts, and 60 people are positive from inhabited islands.
With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 96,522 cases, including 2,702 active cases to Covid-19.
So far, HPA has taken 4,801 test samples within the last 24 hours.
HPA also reported that 102 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 93,042.
According to HPA, there are 12 admitted to hospitals, and the Maldives has recorded 263 deaths from Covid-19 complications.
