January 06: The Health Protection Agency (HPA) has reported 304 additional cases of Covid-19.
The recorded positive cases include 136 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 166 people outside the greater Male’ area. Out of this, 83 people are positive from operational resorts, and 78 people are positive from inhabited islands.
With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 96,522 cases, including 2,702 active cases to Covid-19.
So far, HPA has taken 4,395 test samples within the last 24 hours.
HPA also reported that 129 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 93,865.
According to HPA, there are 12 admitted to hospitals, and the Maldives has recorded 264 deaths from Covid-19 complications.
