The Health Protection Agency (HPA) of the Maldives announced 5 islands released from monitoring status on 6th October.
As per the HPA, Ha. Hoarafushi, Ha. Dhidhdhoo, Sh. Fonadhoo, Ha. Baarah, Ha. Kurinbi and Hdh. Kulhudhuffushi is released from monitoring status. These islands were initially put into monitoring status on 5th October, as a Hdh Kurinbi police officer who was working in Kulhudhuffushi Police station, became positive.
As per the statement by HPA, islands were released from monitoring status after concluding contact tracing related to the case.
