January 20: The Health Protection Agency (HPA) has reported 2199 additional cases of Covid-19.
The recorded positive cases include 1348 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 851 people outside the greater Male’ area. Out of this, 83 people are positive from operational resorts, and 531 people are positive from inhabited islands.
With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 110,931 cases, including 10,537 active cases to Covid-19.
So far, HPA has taken 6,598 test samples within the last 24 hours.
HPA also reported that 1232 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 100,112.
According to HPA, there are 43 admitted to hospitals, and the Maldives has recorded 269 deaths from Covid-19 complications.
