As per the records of the Ministry of Finance, the state has spent 2.3 billion Rufiyaa on covid-19 related expenses. This includes the response work for Covid-19 pandemic and to address the economic impacts by the covid-19 pandemic.
Further detailing, the Ministry of Finance stated that 1.2 billion has been spent for covid-19 pandemic related health and safety expenses. From which National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has spent 778.1 million Rufiyaa and the Ministry of Health has spent 200.4 million Rufiyaa.
The Ministry of Finance also stated that 1.03 billion rufiyaa to address the economic impact by the covid-19 pandemic. From which a majority is spent on loan recoveries, while 101 million on income support allowance for those whose income was affected by covid-19 pandemic.
Due to the ongoing pandemic, the state has increased a lot of expenses. Meanwhile the state also has received loans in support of the revival of the economy.
