January 22: The Health Protection Agency (HPA) has reported 2349 additional cases of Covid-19.
The recorded positive cases include 1325 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 1024 people outside the greater Male’ area. Out of this, 54 people are positive from operational resorts, and 681 people are positive from inhabited islands.
With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 114,977 cases, including 13,535 active cases to Covid-19.
So far, HPA has taken 7,574 test samples within the last 24 hours.
HPA also reported that 849 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 101,660.
According to HPA, there are 48 admitted to hospitals, and the Maldives has recorded 269 deaths from Covid-19 complications.
