January 23: The Health Protection Agency (HPA) has reported 2484 additional cases of Covid-19.
The recorded positive cases include 1268 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 1216 people outside the greater Male’ area. Out of this, 81 people are positive from operational resorts, and 728 people are positive from inhabited islands.
With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 117,467 cases, including 14,636 active cases to Covid-19.
So far, HPA has taken 7,536 test samples within the last 24 hours.
HPA also reported that 882 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 102,542.
According to HPA, there are 48 admitted to hospitals, and the Maldives has recorded 270 deaths from Covid-19 complications.
