January 24: The Health Protection Agency (HPA) has reported 2707 additional cases of Covid-19.
The recorded positive cases include 1420 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 1287 people outside the greater Male’ area. Out of this, 94 people are positive from operational resorts, and 761 people are positive from inhabited islands.
With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 120,168 cases, including 15,721 active cases to Covid-19.
So far, HPA has taken 7,681 test samples within the last 24 hours.
HPA also reported that 1622 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 104,164.
According to HPA, there are 52 admitted to hospitals, and the Maldives has recorded 270 deaths from Covid-19 complications.
