January 28: The Health Protection Agency (HPA) has reported 2510 additional cases of Covid-19.
The recorded positive cases include 1203 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 1307 people outside the greater Male’ area. Out of this, 41 people are positive from operational resorts, and 788 people are positive from inhabited islands.
With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 130,599 cases, including 17,777 active cases to Covid-19.
So far, HPA has taken 7,061 test samples within the last 24 hours.
HPA also reported that 1683 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 112,535.
According to HPA, there are 49 admitted to hospitals, and the Maldives has recorded 274 deaths from Covid-19 complications.
